Anchorage is in the throes of breakup. (That's what most people refer to as "spring.")Snow is melting everywhere, and gradually exposing more and more mud and thawing dog shit. But does the Bike Monkee show solidarity and suffer through it with the rest of us? Noooooooooo.

It's tempting to make the 5 hour drive down there just to steal the hat.
Looks warmer there. Here in southern Alberta it's been an unseasonably less snowy winter. But we've had temps.plunge down to -30 degrees C.
Question: Do alot of women bike regularily in your area?
Jean, about half of my regular riding partners are women, and most of them ride year-round. I'm proud to know so many badass women. Anchorage has a bunch of them, as does Whitehorse, Yukon, where I know a bunch of hardcore female riders.
